# gamut inc > Berlin-based ensemble for computer-controlled pipe organ music, self-built music machines and experimental music theatre. Founded 2013 by composers Marion Wörle and Maciej Śledziecki. Creators of the wind-dynamic pipe organ BLACK SQUARE and the AGGREGATE festival. gamut inc drives historic church and concert-hall organs — and their own instrument BLACK SQUARE — by computer (MIDI + custom software), turning the pipe organ into a machine-synthesizer for microtonal tunings, extreme densities and textures beyond human playing. The work spans automated/hyperorgan music, robotic and self-built instruments, and human-machine music theatre. gamut inc also composes for choir and ensemble: their staged works combine computer-controlled machines with live performers — e.g. the RIAS Kammerchor (RIAS Chamber Choir) and the Logos Robot Orchestra — and have premiered at Deutsche Oper Berlin. The ensemble curates the international AGGREGATE festival for automated pipe organs. ## Key pages - [Home](https://gamutinc.org/): overview, reel, featured works, upcoming dates - [BLACK SQUARE](https://gamutinc.org/black-square/): wind-dynamic pipe organ, 128 stopped pipes, built by Tony Decap, premiered at CTM Festival 2026 - [Hyperorgan / Organ Works](https://gamutinc.org/organ-works/): compositions for computer-controlled church & concert-hall organs (AGGREGATE series) - [AGGREGATE](https://gamutinc.org/aggregate/): international festival & concert series for automated pipe organs; double-CD on WERGO - [Live](https://gamutinc.org/live/): concerts and tour dates - [Profile](https://gamutinc.org/profile/): biography, press, credits - [Contact](https://gamutinc.org/contact/): booking & press — office@gamutinc.org ## Facts - Members: Marion Wörle, Maciej Śledziecki (composers, Berlin) - Founded: 2013, Berlin, Germany - Fields: computer-controlled pipe organ, machine music, music theatre, music machines/robots, composing for choir & ensemble, curation - Ensemble & institutional collaborations: Deutsche Oper Berlin, RIAS Kammerchor (RIAS Chamber Choir), Logos Robot Orchestra, Deutschlandfunk Kultur & SWR Kultur (radio commissions) - Selected venues & partners: Deutsche Oper Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, CTM Festival, Sónar, Orgelpark Amsterdam, Stavanger Concert Hall, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, SWR Kultur, WDR 3 - Funding: Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation), Hauptstadtkulturfonds Berlin, Fonds Darstellende Künste, Musikfonds, Initiative Neue Musik Berlin, Kunststiftung NRW, Landesbüro Freie Darstellende Künste NRW, Aventis Stiftung - Stipends & residencies: Arbeitsstipendium Neue Musik Berlin, Globales Stipendium Berlin, Villa Kamogawa residency (Goethe-Institut, Kyoto) - Releases: AGGREGATE (WERGO / Schott Music); further records on Karlrecords, Morphine Records - Links: https://gamutinc.bandcamp.com/ · https://www.instagram.com/gamut.inc/
