The computer-controlled carillon C3 was the first instrument Gerhard Kern built for us in 2013. After we had first experiences with his carillons C1 & C2, we wanted a (relatively) small and (relatively) light carillon that we could take with us on trips. It has 16 metal bars powered by solenoids, and sourced from old grandfather clocks. The instrument was replaced in 2017 by our self-made modular instrument “SPECHT“.

Das computergesteuerte Carillon/Glockenspiel C3 war das erste Instrument, das Gerhard Kern 2013 für uns gebaut hat. Nachdem wir erste Erfahrungen mit seinen Glockenspielen C1 & C2 gemacht hatten, wünschten wir uns ein (relativ) kleines und (relativ) leichtes Glockenspiel, das wir mit auf Reisen nehmen können. Es hat 16 von Solenoids betriebene, und von alten Standuhren stammende Metallstäbe. Das Instrument wurde 2017 durch unser modulares Instrument “SPECHT” ersetzt.
