Here we have an extended banjo with three bottle necks attached to stepper motors, making glissandi and microtonal shifts possible. The three tensioned strings are driven by three e-bows or by motorized picks. All functions can be controlled by the computer.
From the combination of banjo and e-bow came the name Bowjo. There is also a predecessor to this music machine, the Bowjo 1.
